Francis Family

It's always a big job to tackle capturing multiple people in one photo. It's even further a job when it's all kids! These are the grandchildren of a good networking partner of mine, Tina Francis. Her family was in for the holidays and she used it as an opportunity to get some new, updated pictures of her favorite kiddos! We met at Ritter Park today in Huntington and played around. It was a bright and sunny day in Fall, unlike ones you can expect in November. The kids were all feeling thankful to get over to the playground though, as it would soon be covered in snow. Distracted children gone photography models.. and these are the sneak peeks from today's shoot!

Ashley and Dustin: Engaged!

Ashley and Dustin are getting married in December. I am really excited to share in the big day of these two! Strangers before this session, we spent the day in the rain trying to get good pictures.. and getting to know each other! We always ask how the question was popped. In this particular case, it really wasn't at all. The two woke up one day and decided they wanted to get married.. so they went to the court house, obtained a license, and picked a date within the vaildity of their nuptial agreement! First the paperwork, then the ring.. Regardless, the two are very excited about their wedding and you can tell by these photos they are in love.

Racer Birthday Party

Aulden turned two at a local church. His friends and family came together for his race car party, dirt cake, and tons of checkered flags! It was a great little party for a smaller child. We incorporated toy like decor into the theme so that it would be great to look at AND fun to play with. Children rolled around their toy trucks and cars while adults were able to enjoy hot dogs and socialize. The cake was made by Sweet Confections of Barboursville, WV. His aunt, Katie Hardin, also helped with a lot of our planning and preparation so we'd like to give special thanks to her!

Win a FREE session and prints!

Okay, I had every intention of making a pretty advertisement for this but demand has not allowed me the time to do so. You have asked, so here it is... a contest for the masses! Merry Christmas!

First, the prize! You will win:
An hour long session
1 8x10
2 5x7
12 wallets
10% off of a custom Christmas card order

Second, the catch!
I wanted to steer away from a facebook contest, so go to http://ashtonhaynie.zenfolio.com/ and visit the albums. Comment on your favorite photos! The contest comment period will end at midnight WEDNESDAY. You can comment as many photos as you would like, but for each photo, you will only receive one chance to win. Once the period is over, we will pick a photo at random from all galleries. Whoever commented that particular photo will then be entered into a drawing for the session! This ensures absolute randomness and optimizes feedback!!

Third, a bonus! oh la la!
JUST by signing the guestbook you get a chance to receive a 10% off session and first print order. This, too, will be drawn by random at midnight on WEDNESDAY. The only way you can not be considered for this is in the event that you win the main contest.

I was going to only offer this as a family portrait prize, however, I decided i will not be limiting it to any particular session. As long as it can take place at the pre-set location, we will make it work! Please keep in mind that this session will require you to travel to the tri-state area! If you have any other questions feel free to message me or email us at wildandwonderfulweddings@gmail.com. Please have fun and be fair with this! I would hate for a simple contest to give something back to turn into a situation where it couldn't be offered again. Thanks in advance for everyone's cooperation!!

WINNERS WILL BE ANNOUNCED BY THANKSGIVING MORNING!

Coulter Family Sneak Peek

I met the Coulters at Coonskin Park just as the sun started shining on Sunday. We were really re-thinking the sweaters and boots! It was a gorgeous day and the masses were out with their families enjoying the sunshine. Adeline was so excited to be outside playing and you can tell! Little miss was not into picture posing that day, so we chased her around and managed to get our family pictures done in between our adventures!

Hamm Family Sneak Peek

I had a great time with this family on Sunday, despite how sick I was about to become. It was a rough couple of days trying to get myself motivated to go through their footage. Turns out, they are all beautiful and I hardly took a bad shot! The tough job was deciding what to purge and what to keep. There was a lot of energy when we were photographing, and they were all about having fun with it. I am thankful to come across clients like this becuase they truly motivate me to keep doing what I'm doing. :)
