Manns/Harris Sneak Peek

Brittany and Mike have been friends of mine for some time now. They are a funny, happy-go-lucky couple. Despite the wind, bipolar sunshine, and "inclement" weather.. we came up with some creative ways to capture a walk in the park. This was their first photo shoot together as a couple, so these are sure to make for great memories later in life. Wild and Wonderful Weddings loves the duo, and hopes to be booking an engagement session very soon! No pressure, Mike.

I hope you two enjoy these photos, and I added MANY so that you will have your "fix" taken care of until I am securely back in WV from vacation. :)

Petitte Sneak Peek

These girls, sisters, were both beautiful and fun. They were willing to do whatever I wanted, but unfortunately we ran out of light. We are rescheduling our second outfit change for later, but this is their "night shoot."

Roberts Sneak Peek

Lindsay Roberts is actually part owner of Wild and Wonderful Weddings! She has talked for a year about getting her pictures done, but never found the time. Yesterday on the spot, we snapped some shots. This is her sneak preview. She's a super empowered diva, and I love her! :)

Tanner Sneak Peek

I have to say.. I am a little biased with this family becuase they are my own, BUT i enjoyed shooting them so much. There was so much love evident in this shoot, and everyone was so happy. Well, everyone but Elijah, but he was sick. He toughed it out though, and we ended up with these great pictures for fall. Hope you enjoy them, Tanners!

Gandee Sneak Peek

Yesterday I got to photograph my first baby "fauxfessionally." This precious girl has now won four pageants this year, and she's not stopping now! the shoot was actually for her, but i ended up getting some really great pictures of both siblings. Child photography is definitely a challenge, but these kids were so adorable they made it hard to take a bad picture. Special thanks to momma, Betty Gandee, for allowing me to spend the afternoon with her two munchkins!

Wild and Wonderful Weddings Gains Lifestyle Photographer

We are pleased to announce that our own Ashton Haynie has decided to pick up photography! With any event comes the necessity of detail photography. Without it, we really couldn't advertise and show our clients what we accomplish at a party. Recently, we have been lucky to work with photographers who turn around photos for us quickly, so we are very gracious to all of our friends who have helped promote our business. It will be even easier for us to blog about our events with access to our own photos. Ashton, having always enjoyed the art of photography, has decided to throw herself into the field. Look for blogs featuring her most recent photo shoots later this afternoon!

Although we cannot currently support a staff to offer both services in the same package, we can continue to make great recommendations to you based on your photography needs. We know multiple talented photographers outside of WWW, and we would be glad to book them for you.

Sessions available include but are not limited to: seniors, portraits, family, friends, siblings, engagements, couples, hoilday, etc. Please contact us for prices if interested.

Shotgun Wedding Special

If you are getting married between now and the end of the year, book us to help with your final details! We are offering a special to anyone who books us for a 2011 wedding. As the end of the year is rapidly approaching and our business has just started, we want to offer a starting rate to brides who are seeking last minute assistance. Those of you interested can contact us at wildandwonderfulweddings@gmail.com.

It's never too late to team up with us. Consults are 100% FREE. After meeting, if you feel there is no service that we can offer to elevate the feel of your day, then you've lost nothing! We will always try to come up with something original and memorable to add to your ideas. It's our goal to take what you imagine and bring it to life, surprising you even further than you thought possible.
This has been one of our biggest obstacles lately. It has been really hard to spread the word without being asked how much we charge. It is a complex question for planners as our fees are always different to compliment the budget we are working within. The demand for each wedding is always changing, as are we. So here is a little blog we put together to educate our clients on what we have to offer. If anyone has questions, feel free to contact either Ashton or Lindsay... or by simply emailing us at wildandwonderfulweddings@gmail.com

ABOUT OUR FEES

EVERY wedding is different. EVERY budget is different. Most importantly, every BRIDE is different. However, every single wedding is of the utmost importance and no matter what our fee, we will give you our absolute best. Keep in mind that including special details for your day is our mission, and we guarantee a memorable experience. We are committed to your every need, and in making the wedding day your vision come to life!

According to WV Weddings, the average cost of a wedding in 2009 was $23,867. Most wedding coordinators charge 10 to 15% of the final wedding budget for day of coordination. We do offer additional services, but these can be negotiated during our free consult. Our average wedding costs $10,000 and as we are a starting business, we tend to charge less than our competitors.

Currently we offer planning help and advice within the cost of our 10/15%. Most wedding planners do not. This usually doubles the cost, as networking is extremely time consuming. This is an extreme asset to have as most coordinators have exclusive relationships with surrounding vendors This can connect you easily with those who will be most beneficial. Please note that we will eventually change our prices to reflect this feature.

PACKAGES

“It’s a Nice Day for a White Wedding” - This package includes day of coordination only. We will confirm vendors, help keep the time-line on track, and execute decorating the atmosphere from start to finish. This includes breaking down and helping other vendors with the clean up.

“Get Me to the Church on Time” - Within this package you have access to our network of vendors and venues. We do research to help plan your perfect day and advise you on what choices will compliment your style best. We provide 24/7 advice and help you to stay on track. Of course, this package includes everything mentioned in the previous one as well.

“Love AND marriage” - This is our FULL service package. Differences reflected here include being available for all venue meet and greets, accompanying you to dress fittings and such, and planning out every detail down to ice cubes and beyond! This is for our particular brides, our perfectionists, or our brides who are simply too busy to do it all on their own. We can go to appointments FOR you or WITH you. We are completely and totally available to you based on your schedule. This basically makes us your “call-girl.” We will be the subordinate bridesmaid you only wish you had.

“Bundles of Love” - These are special prices that you can receive for booking us WITH another of our preferred vendors. Please ask us about these as they will constantly change and vendors are exclusive.

“Love in Bloom” - Add the service of having your floral arranged for you! This allows you to order flowers at cost (this price would not reflect cost of supplies, but the execution of centerpieces, focal points, bouquets, etc) and have them put together without paying the extra cost to a florist. This would be an up-charge to any previous package as it is an add-on. We have also included favors and special customized details in the past. Ask about this today!

*It is customary to tip the planners on top of their salary. This would obviously be based on performance. This allows some flexibility in your budget, and also allows you to overcompensate your planner if you see fit. This is not expected, but more of a judgment based on the work of your planner.
**Most planners have a networking log with vendors and receive special prices for their brides. This is another benefit of hiring a coordinator. We are currently negotiating specials with a select few vendors which we will advertise upon confirming. Please ask us about this if you are interested in our “bundles of love.”
***All prices are varied and subject to change. Please contact us today for a quote.
****50% of payment is due within 30 days of agreement. This is non-refundable in the case of cancellation. Final balance will be due the day of the wedding.

Tulle as a Tool

I recently had a consult with a bride and upon discussing decor, we were listing off the basic elements used in a wedding in a yay or nay manner. I mentioned "tulle," and immediately we were both making faces at one another that say "nay freakin' way." So, as I am sitting here this evening using pinterest as my most trusty advisor.. I decided to post some ideas of pretty tulle options that aren't "so" traditional. It is, after all, a great crafting material!

backdrop idea:

ceiling poms:

matching garland (mini poms):

seasonal wreath, wedding decor:

bridesmaid gift, or just personal accessory fabric/tulle flower bows:

tulle wrapped signs for a bold pop of color:

For a final note, here are a few pins from pinterest (all other photos found there as well) that are halloween related. Maybe you have some extra tulle left over from your wedding.. here are some ideas on how to upcycle it into a great spooktastic detail!

This is short and sweet, guys. Sorry. Super tired tonight, but wanted to post some ideas. Hope this inspires some of you to upcycle some old crafting material.. or donate it to us so we can! :-P
